🥢 Sesame Ginger Crunch Chicken & Rice Bowl

🧂 Ingredients:

For the chicken:

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp honey

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp grated fresh ginger

For the rice bowl:

  • 1 cup cooked jasmine or short-grain rice (warm)

  • ½ cup shredded carrots

  • ½ cup sliced cucumber

  • ½ avocado, sliced

  • ¼ cup pickled red onions (optional)

  • 2 tbsp SPQR Seasonings Sesame Ginger Crunch Seasoning (or to taste)

  • Fresh cilantro or scallions, for garnish

  • Lime wedges, for serving


🔪 Instructions:

  1. Marinate the chicken:
    In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, garlic, and ginger. Add chicken and marinate for at least 10 minutes (up to 1 hour for deeper flavor).

  2. Cook the chicken:
    Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5–6 minutes per side, or until cooked through and nicely caramelized. Let rest, then slice thinly.

  3. Assemble the bowls:
    Divide warm rice between two bowls. Top with sliced chicken, carrots, cucumber, avocado, and pickled onions.

  4. Add the crunch:
    Generously sprinkle Sesame Ginger Crunch Seasoning over everything. Garnish with cilantro or scallions.

  5. Serve with lime wedges for a fresh kick.

  • Make it vegetarian: Swap chicken for crispy tofu or roasted sweet potatoes.

  • Add a soft-boiled egg for extra protein.

  • Drizzle with spicy mayo or sriracha for more heat.
